The last day to report on your summer reading is Saturday, August 11 by 5:30 p.m. Reports will not be taken in the library or online after that time.

Everything you need to know about our summer reading club!

We want you to read (or be read to) this summer. Why? Because it's fun! We also want you to discover that the library is a great place to visit. There's always something going on!

Dream Big - Read! is for everyone from birth to students completing fifth grade.
Kids completing sixth through twelfth grade have their own special Teen club - Own The Night. We even have a club for adults - Between the Covers!

Once you have joined the club, you can check out books and start reading immediately.
Keep track of the books you finish reading in your reading log (you can get one when you sign up at your neighborhood library) or report online.

Dream Big - Read! club members - have your parent/guardian or caregiver initial your log for each book read.

Bring the reading log to the library and you will have a star stamped for every book read. More logs are always available.

• The first day to sign up is Saturday, June 2. You can join the club at your neighborhood library or here.
• The first day to report on your reading is Saturday, June 16.
• The last day to report is Saturday, August 11.
  Once the club is over, no points can be awarded.
• All prizes are available while supplies last.
• Don't forget that the Summer Reading Club desk closes ½ hour before the Library closes. You can report anytime online (except the last day - all reporting closes at 5:30 p.m.).
• You can read and report on any book, magazine, graphic novel & ebook (or listen to audio books) checked out from the Tacoma Public Library. Be sure to read at your grade level (we can help you find awesome books to read).

When you report on your first 10 books you receive (while supplies last):

• A Certificate of Achievement.
• Coupons from Auntie Anne's Pretzel, Round Table Pizza, and Applebee's.
• A library browsing bag.
• 2 free games of bowling from Narrows Plaza Bowl.
• Your choice of a plush star, flashlight, or photo frame.
• Two FREE admissions to the Summer Reading Celebration at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium on Saturday, August 18, featuring The Great Jugglemania Vaudeville Show!

Don't stop there - there are lots of reasons to keep on reading
after you reach 10 books!

Prize drawings are held every Monday during the 8-week club. Winners are contacted by telephone or email, and thewinners names are posted at each library. Prizes include tickets to the Puyallup Fair, the Tacoma Rainiers, and lots more.

You will be entered into each week's drawing every time you read another book and report @ the library or online. There is at least one winner each week.

Every time you read ten books you will receive an entry into our Grand Prize Raffle for one of two free laptop computers! How cool is that?!
